Why Japanese cards?

Japanese sets come out first, often months before the English version, and many cards never leave Japan: promos, special decks and whole sets that were never printed in English. The rarities work differently too. A Japanese UR is a gold card, and codes like SAR, SR and AR are printed on the card itself.

Every list here starts with the rarest cards and works its way down, so you can see what to look for first.

How these lists work

Rarest first

Every list starts with the hardest cards to pull and works down to the commons, one rarity at a time.

Pictures or checklist

See the cards as pictures, or switch to one table with numbers, rarities, types and illustrators.

The set in numbers

Each page counts what is inside: rarities, types, the Pokémon that show up most and who drew them.
